Terms of use — the grants tool

These terms cover your use of the free grants-matching tool at trusteemeetings.co.uk/grants, provided by Spring Incubator Limited (“we”, “us”). By using the tool, you accept these terms.

Information, not advice

The tool provides information, not financial, legal or fundraising advice. It shows you funders whose public data suggests they may fit your charity — it does not recommend, endorse or guarantee any particular funder, and no responsibility is assumed for decisions made in reliance on it.

Matches are indicative, not guaranteed

Matches are generated from public register and grants data using the checks described on our about the data page. They are a starting point for your own research, not a promise that any funder will accept an application, or that a funder’s priorities, deadlines or contact details are currently as shown. Always verify directly with the funder before applying.

Data sources and update cadence

Data sources, licences and how often we refresh them are set out in full on the about the data page, which forms part of these terms.

Availability and accuracy

We provide the tool on a reasonable-endeavours basis and aim to keep it available and its data current, but we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate at every moment, and we accept no liability for loss arising from its unavailability or from inaccuracies in third-party source data.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of the tool or reliance on its output. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Acceptable use

The tool is for individual, human use by people acting for a charity. Automated scraping, bulk extraction, or republishing our compiled database is not permitted; if you want the underlying open data, the Charity Commission, 360Giving and UK Grantmaking each publish it directly under their own licences (see about the data).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
